My fee is $75/hour

For children I recommend weekly lessons. A student must pay for the entire month (excluding holidays) regardless of his or her attendance the previous month or planned attendance for that month. Tuition is due at the first private session of each month. This policy is to contribute building a stable structure, similar to school attendance.

Adults can be more flexible in schedule (and pay lesson by lesson if the wish), although I recommend regular lesson intervals, weekly or bi-weekly, and perhaps longer intervals (but no more than monthly) for more advanced students.

Cancellation Policy

For children: you entitled a makeup lesson so long as you notify by phone no later than the evening two days before the lesson to be missed. Makeup's may be taken at any time we can find.

Adults should notify a cancellation by phone no later than the evening two days before the lesson to be missed, otherwise the lesson should be paid regularly.

Lessons for which the student is late will end at the scheduled time.

Calendar

For Children I organize the year in the following quarters:

Fall - September to December (four months)

Winter - January to March (three months)

Spring - April to June (three months)

At the end of each quarter the Student will play (and perhaps record) a performance of a piece she/he has been working on.

Adults are again not constrained by such a fairly rigid schedule.

In Summer (July-Aug), depending on the year, I am often in Europe for academic related travel or vacation. Depending on the year, lessons will be suspended during these times.
