The number of published books and scores on music is of course immense. I only list the methods, anthologies and theory books that I suggest for beginners and I use at the intermediate levels. I also list a few books dedicated, or somewhat related, to performance training. These are useful at all levels, although they are more appropriate readings for adults and teenagers.

Beginners

Ferdinand Beyer, Preparatory School, Peters or Shirmer, or Berben

Edna Mae Burnam, A Dozen a Day, The Willis Music Company. Preparatory Volume and Volumes I-III

Edna Mae Burnam, Step by Step Piano Course, The Willis Music Company. Volumes I-IV

Intermediates

L F Olson, M Freeman, eds. Essential Keyboard Repertoire, Alfred.

Volume I, 100 Early Intermediate Selections

Volume III, 16 Early/Late intermediate Sonatinas

Volume VI, 75 Early/Late Intermediate Selections

A Lakos, ed., First Concert Pieces, Konemann Music Budapest,Volumes I-IV

Theory

Fundamentals of Piano Theory - Level 1 to 10. Written by Keith Snell, Martha Ashleigh. Published by Neil A. Kjos Music Company.

Performance

Performance Success: Performing Your Best Under Pressure. Don Greene, Routledge, New York, 2002.

Musical Excellence. Strategies and techniques to enhance performance. Aaron Williamon Ed., Oxford University Press, 2004.
